MY APRICOT KITCHEN LAUNCHES NEW CHILLED RANGE
Award winning Irish/Indian artisan food company My Apricot Kitchen has launched a new range of chilled vegetarian meals featuring all natural ingredients. These products are now available in SuperValu and speciality food stores in Ireland.
My Apricot Kitchen products feature locally sourced natural Irish ingredients and hand ground spices. The new authentic Indian chilled range comprises three dishes
Vegetable Korma: A very rich aromatic medley of seasonal vegetables.
No coconut milk has been used and instead the dish is balanced with pumpkin seeds. The quintessential Indian ingredient of dried Fenugreek leaves adds great depth of flavour. This sumptuous curry is perfect for indulging over the weekend with some Naan bread and pilaf rice.
Ingredients include: tomatoes, peas, onions, carrots, green peppers,
aubergines, green beans, broccoli, raisins, ginger, pumpkin seeds and garam
masala
Lentil Kofta Tikka Masala: A healthy high protein vegan Indian and Middle
Eastern fusion kofta featuring Tikka Masala gravy with spongy lentil balls.
The kofta is simple and not
overly spiced and is accompanied by a nutritious tikka gravy.
The base is tomato with
carrot, mixed peppers and broccoli stems. As it is vegan in order to thicken
the gravy My Apricot Kitchen has used buckwheat flour and sweetened it with
raisins.
Ingredients include: Tomatoes, onions, carrots, broccoli, mixed bell
peppers, raisins, garlic, ginger, coriander seeds, garam masala and fenugreek
leaves
Soya Free Tofu Saag: This high protein side dish features soya free tofu with chickpea flour and buckwheat flour with spinach, spices and herbs.
This soya free tofu is based
on Pitod, a very traditional popular dish from the western Indian state of Rajashtan
where water is scarce so people depend on dry foods such as legumes which are
high in protein.
Buckwheat has been added to
the gram flour base to make it more nutritious. It also includes asafoetida
which helps in digestion and provides a beautiful lingering aroma.
Ideal for everyday
consumption this is perfectly accompanied with flat bread and rice.
